Snorkeling Gear
Snorkeling Masks
Snorkeling Gear is specific for snorkeling activities. The masks are usually smaller, and lower in volume, the space between your eyes and the mask lens, than typical diving masks. These will mostly be one window or two window.
Snorkels
Snorkels will have a purge and possibly a dry top. The original 'J' style with a purge added is best for this activity because it offers the easiest cleaning. These aren't good for scuba because they'll drag on the mask underwater because its not in your mouth underwater while scuba diving. You need a flexible drop-away tube which are longer and stay out of the way when scuba diving.
Fins
Snorkeling fins are typically designed for barefoot use, not with the boots that you use for scuba diving. Snorkels fins are short a little wider and very flexible. Some are full foot, which means that they are sized for your foot and are not adjustable, the foot pocket is "full" as they call it. Adjustable ones offer mild amount of adjustment, and are not one-size-fits-all. Snorkling fins are very light and easy to travel with. They're not suitable for scuba diving because you cannot wear boots for shore and beach entries. Also if you ever you are ever in areas with current, in full scuba gear, underwater you'll go no where because they're too small and flexible to push a diver through water. However without dive gear, they're light, nimble and easy to kick and do the job perfectly without weight down your luggage.
